Pokeisland Reopens!

Welcome welcome! Thanks for coming everyone, you're too kind for reading. *Bow* *Bow*
Ok, now listen up. Anyone who was a member of this site before the change will know that it had a good run, and then suffered severly when there was no need for Pokémon - but that should hopefully change now.
I hope you'll all agree that the site is now much better than before, and let me outline just why that is Smile

1)Experience

A new ages has come upon Pokeisland - the age of experience. Experience is fully explain in a different post but it is basically a way for everyone to be rewarded for posting and logging in and generally being a kind member to the site. You gain experience by doing many things and it gives you, wait for it...... XP! XP can be used in the Pokéshop, where it can be traded for stickers (small items that can go in your signature) or profile updates (which will generally make you be able to do more stuff). Everything you can buy is in the shop and will be of use to everyone.

2)Rank

Rank is based on experience and reputation. The more XP you have, the higher you are ranked as a member. Let's face it, everyone wants to be ranked high, so that they look mega-awsome! Smile

However, if you want to buy things for the shop, your rank WILL suffer which is why you have to decide which is more important to you.

3)Thanks

Think that dood's post was mega-cool? Wish you could pay them back for it? Just hit the "Thanks" button under the post and the user will receive a reputation AND experience boost. However, if we catch a group of you misusing the Thanks button... Evil or Very Mad

Well, those are the biggest three reasons why this time round, Pokeisland is going to ROCK HARD! There is a fourth reason though, and that is ALL OF YOU GUYS! Very Happy

Does the Thanks Button not appear everywhere on purpose, or is that a bug?

I don't know, it should appear on most posts....perhaps thread starters don't get it, and you can't see the thanks button on your own posts either

I figured out the thanks button you can only use it on posts that people make in one of your threads that aren't your of course.

Just a suggestion (I know I just joined here) Shouldn't there be two sections like XP for ranks and maybe Point or XP for the shops? Because what does rank have to do with buying things? Maybe you could get points by winning battles or something idk just a suggestion =]

Rank isn't used for buying things. It's used for...well...getting ranks. You see how under most of the members names on the right is nothing? If you have a rank, it'll show up there. It'll kinda look like a moderator thing, but different.

This picture shows a picture of where the rank is on people who have it, and where it would be on people who don't. The red circle is where it would be. Green is where it is.
